The breeder provides an honest appraisal of a kittens/cats
quality, though final adult quality cannot be guaranteed. This kitten/cat conforms to the
breed standard and is considered likely to be competitive and maybe used in a breeding
program. Breeder makes no guarantees of show status past Championship. Kittens are
expected to go to their new homes no earlier than 4 months of age, unless mutually agreed
otherwise by breeder and purchaser.
A pedigree and shot record will accompany each kitten/cat.
Registration papers for kittens/cats sold will generally accompany the
kitten/cat or be provided as soon as possible.
This agreement is made for our mutual benefit to protect the purchaser
and the breeder, as well as to make clear the conditions of purchase.
- This kitten/cat is guaranteed to be in good health at time of sale. Standard
inoculations have been maintained on recommended schedules. We insist that you have the
kitten/cat examined by your own veterinarian within 48 hours of purchase and advise the
breeder of the results of the examination.
- Our basic health guarantee extends through veterinarian examination within two working
days of pickup of kitten/cat, to include general health, and free from internal and
external parasites. Any illness deemed by a licensed veterinarian to be due to the
conditions at the breeders home (and so documented to the breeders
satisfaction) will be considered the breeders responsibility. If illness occurs
during this period, the breeder must be notified immediately and a licensed veterinarian
must treat the kitten/cat promptly. The total liability of the breeder shall in no case
exceed the total price listed above in this contract. The breeder guarantees that this
kitten/cat to be felv-negative at the time of sale.
- If kitten/cat is sold as a breeder proves to be sterile or have a genetic defect that
prevents reproduction (pyometra is not covered under this clause, it is caused by an
infectious agent, not a genetic defect), the buyer may negotiate with the breeder for:
- Replacement with a mutually acceptable alternate kitten/cat, with the return of the
first kitten/cat.
- Breeder will refund the difference between show/breeder and pet price.
- IF FOR ANY REASON THE BUYER CANNOT RETAIN OWNERSHIP OF THE KITTEN/CAT, THE BREEDER
INSISTS ON NOTIFICATION SO THAT THE BREEDER MAY HAVE FIRST RIGHT OF REFUSAL OF THE
KITTEN/CAT OR MAY APPROVE/ASSIST IN PLACING THE KITTEN IN ANOTHER HOME OF THE BREEDERS
CHOICE. THIS WILL BE IN EFFECT FOR THE LIFE OF THIS KITTEN/CAT.
- The buyer agree to provide continuing responsible ownership, with due consideration of
the welfare of the kitten/cat at all times. The kitten/cat will not be declawed or allowed
to roam outdoors without supervision. This kitten/cat must see a licensed veterinarian
yearly for a check-up in order to keep the kittens/cats immunizations current.
The kitten/cat will be kept free of fleas, ear mites, worms, fungus, and other internal
and external parasites in a secure and clean environment.
- If the kitten/cat had any difficulties or illness, we again request to be notified. We
will do our best to assist in finding solutions to problems. Finally, in the rare tragic
event that the kitten/cat dies within one year, especially of unknown causes, we request
notification for the sake of the breed and related cats, and under these circumstances
will request and will assist in payment for a necropsy.
- This kitten/cat described is sold with the understanding that it will be shown in at
least 10 CFA or TICA shows as an adult or at least become a champion in either association
BEFORE it is bred.
- This kitten/cat was not purchased for resale to another person or business.
- Any unacceptable kitten sold as a show/breeder must be returned and signed over to the
breeder before 9 months of age. Purchaser and breeder must negotiate exceptions to this
time/age.
