Pirates Lair Lore

How the name Pirates Lair came about. My husband the diver loves to dive the old wrecks along the South Carolina coast. He would plunder these wrecks and bring home the treasures of years ago. Our house is decorated in early ship wreck. So why not name the cattery Pirates Lair?

In 1988 I aquired my first cat. It was a seal point Birman. Although PennyPurr's Lancelot was not a show quality Birman he paved the way to the cat kingdom. Below are pictures of the cats that have touched our lives along the way. Some are no longer here with us but we remember them here. |
Our Maine Coons
Our first Maine Coon was found at the Mysticoon Cattery. A brown classic tabby, "Mysticoon Valentino" {Rudy} is every bit of a lover as his name suggests. We would like to thank Kay Heimer for allowing Valentino to come live with us here at Pirate's Lair.

"Caruso" also comes to us from Kay Heimer.
